This morning we decided to take advantage of the wonderful autumn weather and headed to a local farm to pick some pumpkins and take part in some fall fun. Austin loved it! Of course, what little boy would not love being set loose in a gigantic field full of mud and pumpkins to explore. ;-)
Austin has been on a "I am a big boy" kick lately. He was determined to show off his muscles and carry his pumpkin to the car all by himself.
After carrying the pumpkin to the car, he was completely covered in mud. A quick wardrobe change was in order before we explored the rest of the farm.
Austin loved getting to try out some of the farm equipment. (and I loved all the great photo ops ;-)
He enjoyed riding the little tractors, and almost picked a fight with a (much larger) 3 year old over the gas station. ;-)
The troughs full of corn were a BIG hit! He could have played in them all day. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth when it was time to leave. ;-)
Ironically, one of the highlights of the day was getting to pick up rocks along the trail...such a boy! ;-)
Side note: Austin had his first star sighting while we were at the farm. Brad, Kimberly, and Huckleberry Paisley were there as well.
