If you know my husband, you know that he really enjoys working in the yard and doing various landscaping projects. Now that his arm is on the mend, he could not get out there quick enough. This weekend's project included planting some shrubs that will serve as camouflage for a future backyard garden. While he was doing that, I attempted to get Austin to help me plant some bulbs in the front flower bed. My little spade vs. Walker's big shovel and wheelbarrow full of dirt. Hmm. Can you guess what Austin chose. ;-)
Austin was absolutely fascinated. He watched Walker intently for a few minutes and then decided to help. It took him no time at all to catch on to the proper shoveling technique. ;-)
On a different note, Austin loves his "pu-in" (pumpkin) that he picked at the farm this weekend. This afternoon, he spent a lot of his time outdoors carrying it around or sitting by it. He especially enjoyed watching it roll down the driveway. ;-)
