Mr. Fix-It

Austin is already trying to follow in Walker's "handy-man" footsteps. This afternoon, his musical puppy's batteries died, so I grabbed a screwdriver to take the plate off and replace the batteries. Austin spent a couple seconds watching me and then decided that it was something he would like to try. He spent the next 45 minutes working very intently to loosen the screw. I couldn't believe how much concentration he was putting into the task. I could tell that he was really taking his "job" seriously. (and loving every minute of it!) All of his work paid off...he eventually got the screw loosened enough, and the puppy now has a new set of batteries. (Of course, now he would rather "fix" it than play with it ;-)
