Austin's preschool class has a class pet. "Otter" is a very large stuffed monkey. Each child gets their turn to take Otter home for a weekend. This past weekend was Austin's turn. Austin was so excited to get to bring Otter home.

After being rescued, Otter received a check-up and booster shot from Dr. Austin.
Otter helped Austin put together his big Dinosaur puzzle. Austin then proceeded to tell Otter all about the various species - Spinosaurus, Argentineosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Iguanadon, Triceratops, Teranadon, Ornythomymus, Carnataurus, etc (Austin knows more about dinosaurs than I ever dreamed. I don't even know how to spell half of those species!)
Otter helped us make some yummy cookies.
All three boys were waiting very anxiously for the finished product of their hard work. (which is funny to me since Micah has never had a cookie since they contain egg, but he must sense that they are a special treat ;-)

That is just so much fun! What an awesome thing for a class to do!! (Without the responsibility of caring for a real live pet!)
