Micah - 9 Month Update

Last week we took Micah for his 9 Month Doctor's visit. He weighed in at 20 pounds and 10 oz (56%) and measured 29 inches (74.5%). He is a healthy, happy boy who is developing right on schedule. Here are a few of the things that Micah is up to these days.

• Cruising - Micah is pulling up on everything and is pretty fast at walking when holding onto furniture or his push toy.
• Micah finally got his first tooth last week
• After a brief step back due to teething, Micah is back on track with finger foods and loving them. His favorite remains bananas so far.
• Micah had a little cheese last week and some yogurt yesterday. So far, he hasn't had any major symptoms, so we are crossing out fingers that the milk protein allergy is a thing of the past. It will still be a few weeks before he gets to a point where I can start to expand my diet, but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
• Micah is becoming more and more vocal. He can say "ba", "ma" and "da" sounds as well as several sing-song, squeal sounds.
• Micah can clap and sometimes will wave back when someone waves at him
• Micah has decided that Austin's toys are much more fun than "baby toys", so I frequently hear the sound of Austin yelling for me to come rescue his trains or dinosaurs. ;-)
• Micah is doing really well in the church nursery, but lately we are beginning to experience a few bouts of separation anxiety. Thankfully they are short lived as he soon realizes that there is a lot of neat things to see and do in nursery.
• Micah has begun taking baths with Austin in the big tub. He wasn't really sure about it at first, but now loves playing in the water with his big brother. (Austin begs for Micah to take a bath with him every night ;-)
• Since the arrival of that stubborn tooth, Micah sleeping habits have improved a little. He even slept through the night one night last week! (finally ;-)
• Micah is very ticklish and has the sweetest giggle. He especially likes it when Austin tickles him.
