Micah at 4 Months

We took Micah in for his 4 Month check-up. The verdict was that he is a healthy and happy baby, but we knew that. He weighed in at 15 lbs 12 oz (68%) and was 25 1/2 inches long (74%). No wonder my arms are so sore compared to when Austin was this age! ;-)

Here are some of the things that our little man is up to these days....

• Micah has really started taking more of an interest in his toys lately. He especially likes his links, lion rattle and crab rattle.



• He loves watching Austin. Just having Austin in the same room running around will keep Micah entertained for quite some time.



• Micah has become a little drool machine as of late. Anything that he can get his hands on goes straight into his mouth and is guaranteed to come out wet. (I go back and forth as to whether he is teething. We had a rough couple of days this week that may have been due to the 4 upper teeth that seem to be peeking out)



• Micah is a smiley little boy most of the time. The photo below is his trademark bashful grin. He really can hold his head up, but when he grins he tilts it to the side as if he is shy.



• Micah loves to have people around. He is quick to notice if he is the only one in the room and will grunt to let me know he is displeased. When I return he greets me with the best smile.


• Micah loves to play with his hands and suck on his fingers. This photo was basically the only one of this pose where he wasn't sucking on his fist or his arm.



• Micah still cannot make up his mind regarding sleeping. He only wakes up once a night but will wake up to eat anywhere between 2am and 7am. (Obviously I prefer those 7am feedings. ;-)


• During tummy time, Micah tends to get his knees up under him and moves his legs in a crawling motion. Too bad his arms aren't strong enough because the result is just scooting his head on the floor which doesn't make him too happy. ;-)
